How to do a silent install of T-Plan.

The file Setup.exe is a wrapper executable that is created by Installshield to perform the following tasks...

1. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 which is a pre-requisite of T-Plan.
2. Install the InstallShield Script file ISScript9.msi - These are required by the T-Plan.msi.
3. Call T-Plan.msi to install the T-Plan files and any merge modules or other dependant files.

In order to install T-Plan silently the .NET Framework must be installed first.

Extract the files from the 1033dotnetfx.exe....
D:\temp\512\1033dotnetfx.exe /C /T:C:\Temp\dotnet

Install dotnet silently...
Msiexec /i C:\Temp\dotnet\netfx.msi /q /L C:\Temp\net.txt

Once .NET is installed T-Plan can be installed silently by using the
following two commands. Both MSI files can be found on the T-Plan CD.

msiexec /i D:\temp\512\ISScript9.Msi /q /l C:\Temp\IS.log msiexec /i D:\temp\512\T-Plan.msi /q /l C:\Temp\TPLOG.txt INSTALLDIR="C:\T-Plan"

INSTALLDIR - Is a property of T-Plan.msi. It stores the name of the folder you wish to install T-Plan into.
/l C:\Temp\TPLOG.txt - optional logfile for MSI output.

The T-Plan 5.1.2 SR4 Patch can also be run silently by using the command line:-

Update.exe /S /v /qn
