Statistics export functionality...

Post by piotrkrupa » Mon Apr 26, 2004 1:25 pm

Is it possible to change the data that is being exported to file during Statistics update in Manage?

Is it possible to customize this data?

Unless my colleagues know differently (feel free to jump in here, anyone) - I'm pretty sure the dataset exported is fixed.

However, it would be fairly straightforward to write an extension that mined the data you need, and exported it in some Excel compatible/Universal format.

What data did you have in mind?

What we would like is a very simple xls file (not csv, while commas may be used in condition names):

suite name1|suite name2|...|Test condition|Test Condition Status

For example, our Manage structure:

Test1
- Product1
- TestCondition1
- TestCondition5
- TestCondition6
- TestCondition7
- TestCondition8
- TestCondition9
- Product2
- StandAlone
- TestCondition10
- TestCondition11
- TestCondition12
- TestCondition13
- TestCondition14
- TestCondition15
- Network
- TestCondition16
- TestCondition17
- TestCondition18
- TestCondition19
- TestCondition29
- TestCondition30
- Product3
- TestCondition31
- TestCondition32
- TestCondition33
- TestCondition34
- TestCondition35
- TestCondition36

The report should look like this:

Test1|Product1|TestCondition1|Status
...
Test1|Product1|TestCondition9|Status
test2|Product2|StandAlone|TestCondition10|Status
...

I have posted a further response to this in the Raiffeisen Forum - including a link to a report template which should produce a very similar output to this.
